Our Beliefs

We believe basic foundation doctrines

  • Sin We believe that man originally was created in the image and likeness of God; he disobeyed God's command, and fell into sin incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death; all persons are born with a sinful nature and also are sinners by choice, are separated from God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Salvation We believe that salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ, that persons who repent and believe on Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, that by God's grace through faith they receive the gift of eternal life and become children of God.
  • Resurrection We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust; the saved will be resurrected unto eternal life in heaven and the lost will be resurrected unto eternal damnation in hell.

  • Judgment We believe that all persons will stand before Almighty God to be judged for their deeds; that their eternal destination (heaven or hell) is based upon whether they personally have accepted or rejected Christ as their Lord and Savior.
    We Believe in the Church
  • Christ established His church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it; He commanded the church to carry out the Great Commission.
  • The Church, universal, consists of all persons who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ and born again of the Holy Spirit.
  • Locally, the church is a body of believers joined together for worship, prayer, fellowship, preaching and teaching of the gospel and observance of the ordinance of baptism and the Lord Supper.
  • Christ is the head of the church; He calls ministers (servant-leader: pastors, bishops, elders, and deacons) to equip the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ.
    We Believe in God
  • There is only one true and living God, eternally existent (I AM) and manifesting Himself in the three persons of the Trinity.
  • God the Father is the Creator of the universe; He is infinite (eternal, immutable, omniscient, and omnipresent), and He is perfect (His moral attributes: holiness, righteousness, truth and love).
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God; we believe in His deity, virgin birth. Sinless life, miraculous power, vicarious atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, present ministry of intercession, and His imminent, personal visible return in power and glory.
  • The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; He convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgments; He indwells guides, teaches, empowers, and enables believers, to live godly lives; He imparts spiritual gifts and produces spiritual fruit.
We Believe the Bible (OLD and NEW Testament)
  • The Holy Bible is the inspired, inherent, infallible word of God.
  • The Bible is alive and powerful; it is sharp and piercing; it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  • The Bible is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.
  • The Bible is authoritative; it is the Christian's only rule of faith and practice.
